    Sony hdtv inch ,hdtv reviews!5

LCD Projection tv you could not pay me enough to choose a different unit over Sony’s XBR lineup. I own a 52″ XBR4 (now in the bedroom), and purchased thelcd 52 for the living room. Sony’s 1080p lcd aren’t as mainstream popular as Samsung’s tv lcd projection comparable units, as they are a bit more money, but I’m a buyer who prefers quality over cost, and Sony delivers to A/V enthusiasts who know what they want from a unit. Even the differences between the XBR4 (purchased Feb ‘08) and the XBR6 (purchased Dec ‘08) indicate Sony is putting great effort into their R&D to offer the best possible lcd hdtv 1080p to the market. Samsung and Sony share a 52 hdtv manufacturing plant in Korea; Samsung still makes great hdtv lcd televisions, but the gloss screens weren’t for me. Sony’s matte finish screens and extra video options are great for those who like to tweak, and the Bravia Sync 1080p lcd tv features are very wife and family friendly.

4 Great for the money, but know what you’re buying,
50 Widescreen Viera Plasma 1080p HDTV with Anti-Reflective FilterDeep color technologyGame modeBuilt-in SD card slot. I own the 2007 version of the TH-50pz80U, which was the TH-50pz77U. I’m very pleased with my plasma, and it was great value for the money. So I’m confident you’ll have the same experience with this very slightly upgraded 2008 model (mainly, three HDMI inputs instead of two). However, the pz77U had been misrepresented in customer reviews, and I really didn’t understand what I was buying. It’s clear from reading these reviews that the same misunderstandings persist.

Many customer reviews say that this 1080p hdtv plasma is the new version of the 50 plasma hdtv that got top marks from Consumer Reports last year. That isn’t true. That last year’s model was the TH-50pz700U. I was misled by similar customer reviews last year. If you want the 2008 version of that model, you will need the TH-50pz800U at 50% higher cost than the pz80U.

The online retailers describe all of the features of the most expensive Panasonic plasmas in the listing for every model, creating the impression that the least expensive models have all of the features of the most expensive models. Again, not true. Compared to this pz80U, the pz800U adds 30,000:1 native contrast ratio compared to the 20,000:1 of the pz80U, native 24p playback, a brand new panel construction (”one pane of glass”), display of 5,120 shades of gray vs. 4,096 for the 80U, and an upgraded speaker system.

Again, I’m pleased with my pz77U and probably wouldn’t have paid to upgrade to the pz700U even if I had been given better information. But know what you’re getting. I had the opportunity to see the pz77U and the pz700U side by side after the return period was over, and the pz700U was noticeably superior.

32 Sharp Aquos flat panel tv5

The elegant aquos lcd Series easily enhances the decor of any family room, living room or den. This is my first HDTV (I am an electronics engineer so, it took very long for me to buy one that i like). But this 32 hdtv lcd blows me off. Great natural colors, no bright and deep colors as in other samsung and toshiba Tvs.

The Menu is simple but even then it gives wide range of adjustments. Don’t be attracted by the video reviews of the other TVs given all over the internet about the different options you can change on your TV because you know what, not many people use all those menu items. This has got bunch of inputs to it and it also have a headphone jack. I added my Bose system to this aquos hdtv and it really gives a great Movie Experience.
The edges can be a little too glossy, but if you are a person who likes to keep the things neat, you will love the gloss.
Very useful menu item as skipping the Inputs makes this more versatile.
16 ( 4 x 4 ) Customizable favourite channels make life a little more easy. I bought this sharp 32 lcd for the olympics and the NBC gives a HighDefinition Feed using the regular cable(no HD receiver required to watch some of the channels like NBC, TNT, A&E ) and its absolutely stunning. I also get some digital channels that are great. The audio can be skipped between mono, stereo, surround where available.

I cannot believe you are still reading the review instead of going to the store and buying one. But for those who ” have to read ” here are the
cons: The Remote has to be really pointed to the receiver which can be a pain somtimes and also the channels skip a little slow, but that doesn’t bother me.

Amazing Picture that surpasses other brands5
The t.v. has the best picture I’ve seen out of all the 32 lcd tv I came across.(Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Vizio, etc) It contains all the inputs needed for video game systems and cable t.v. The blacks are black and the colors are spot on. My Xbox 360 looks absolutely amazing on it. You can watch this t.v. in a bright room with the sun pointing at it and still clearly see the picture. With other t.v.s you can see your reflection on it and that distracts from the picture. This flat panel 32 has NO glare at all. It’s perfect for a daytime and nighttime setting.

One other thing I like about this 32 inch lcd tv is that is has no ghosting. Ghosting whether playing on the Xbox 360 or watching regular t.v. was a lot more evident on the other t.v.s I listed. Most notable was the Samsung and the Vizio where the ghosting was horrendous. I feel very happy to have finally found a t.v. without this annoyance.

Update: After having the t.v. for a while I got to admit, SD on this t.v. looks really good. I know an HDTV isn’t meant for standard definition, but for people who don’t have some kind of high definition setup they won’t be disappointed. Out of all the HDTVs I’ve had, the SD is the best on this one. Also HD on this t.v. seems to make sense. It’s not to sharp and not to blurry but just right. The sharpness seems to make sense in terms of the detail you can see compared to other HDTVs. I will continue to update as I test with more sources. (dvd players, cable boxes, game consoles, computers/laptop, etc.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Decent Budget Television,

I purchased this lcd 32 hdtv at Office Depot (sale <$380.00) recently. Overall, it is a nice set for the price paid (3.5 out of 5 stars). As most people know by now, you MUST have HD reception to get HD quality! This televisions hdtv set has acceptable performance with standard cable with analog hook up. These new sets are just not equipped to handle the lower resolution feeds of standard cable. They perform much better with digital or HD feeds, which is where they excel! On HD, the Memorex performs just okay, considering its price point. You shouldn’t expect Sony LCD quality from a budget LCD. I use this lcd 32 inch tv set mostly as a second computer monitor and gaming monitor for my son’s Xbox 360. My set did come with a registration card (for the warranty) written in English. No dead pixels on mine, either. Incidentally, this tv projection lcd set is a dead ringer for the Viewsonic line of LCD’s.

Overall, I would recommend the Memorex as a good guest room, office, or play room set. The fit and finish is impeccable. You just can’t beat bang you get for the bucks you’ll pay.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, wish I had another one,

As several of the other positive reviewers have mentioned, I got my set at Office Depot for $380…I wish I had bought 3. This LCD Projection TV set is an awesome value. I am using it in my bedroom hooked up to an upconverting DVD player and straight cable coax. The DVD looks great and the cable on the HD channels looks good. I see some very slight “spotlighting” on the screen in the corners with a solid black field. Bottom line: this is a great TV for the price.

Do not be put off by the negative reviews, the most expensive Samsung or Sharp can come with a dead pixel and I am pretty sure that the guy with the warranty card issue could have contacted Memorex and verified that it is indeed covered in the USA.

Suits my needs perfectly - great image for the money,5

Take advantage of 720p HD picture quality and an impressive feature set with the 32AV502U. This tv 32 lcd is a great addition for any home theater, and can also be used as a computer monitor by using the PC Input.I have had this lcd hdtv for about three weeks now, and so far I am very pleased with it. The picture, which I receive from an indoor/outdoor antenna is extremely crisp. I would recommend those of you out there pondering whether or not to get cable/satellite to consider simply installing a good antenna - that way there is no video compression, and you actually get a sharper image from the local networks. I honestly cannot tell the difference between my TV’s image as a 720p and my brother-law’s 47″ 1080p Sony.

The 32 inch lcd tv menu is easy to see and use. I keep my video settings on sports generally, as it is the brightest picture (some of the others, like “movie” are just too dark for me). However, you can also adjust the picture in preference mode, and play around with brightness, sharpness, contrast, backlight, color, and tint.

I also own a wii system, and even though it is not high definition like some other gaming systems, I have to say that the picture on this 32 lcd hdtv is excellent (especially with the wii component cables attached).

The sound on the toshiba lcd tv is also very full - I did not notice any tinniness coming from the speakers at all, and it seemed well balanced between base and treble. It will obviously not produce the same depth of sound as a full sound system, but it suits my needs perfectly.

There is, as the other reviewer indicated a minor lag time when switching between inputs, but this really doesn’t bother me. One mildly annoying element however is that most of the inputs (HDMI, component cables (AKA color stream), PC inputs, S-Video, etc.) are on the back of the TV, which is a mild nuisance. The only exception to this is Video 2, which is on the side. (This would probably be good for connecting a digital camcorder and the like).

The only other thing that seems a little inconsistent is PC connectivity. When I hook up my laptop (I use an RGB computer video cable and audio cable since my computer doesn’t have a built in HDMI port) it is necessary for me to turn the laptop off, connect the cables and then reboot, or the image will not display on the televisions hdtv. Perhaps this is a standard thing for most TVs - I don’t really know, having never owned an HDTV with PC inputs before. Also, the TV seems to project the computer screen a little differently each time the computer is hooked up, and I sometimed have to do a little tweaking to get an image I’m happy with. This may just require more trial-and-error on my part. Since my primary purpose is to use the TV as a TV screen and DVD player and not a computer screen, this isn’t a big deal to me.

5 Best plasma hdtv at this price right now,

I was an early adopter of Plasma technology and have owned a Pioneer 50″ Plasma as my main display for a few years now. I love television plasma in general, so decided, now that prices are coming down from the stratosphere, to get a second plasma set for a bedroom TV. All I can say is things have really come a long way! Early plasmas had problems displaying detail in dark scenes, but new models such as this samsung 42 inch plasma hdtv have come much closer to solving this problem.

I auditioned dozens of sets at multiple dealerships and did a lot of side-by-side comparisons and adjustments, and determined that these newest Samsung tv 42 sets represent the best blend of performance, quality, and cost. My requirements were to have at least 2 HDMI slots, since this is the future for high-definition connectivity, be 37″ or 42″ in size, and have the best quality picture I could afford.

A lot of on-line advice pointed to the Panasonic as the one to get so I went into this fully expecting to end up with a Panny, but after much side-by-side between the 42 inch plasma tv and the newest Panasonics, there was no contest - the Samsung has more natural looking color gradiations, the Panasonic looked odd and banded in appearance. I verified this at multiple vendors and side-by-side.

Be careful however not to get re-directed to the previous generation Samsung models, many of which are still on the market and sold as new. Samsung seems to be replacing their lined up with these newer sets in a graudal manner. At least two other42 plasma tv models ending in “2″ instead of “3″ can be found at various retailers. To me, these older sets did not measure up to the visual fidelity in the “3″ series. Over time I’m sure Samsung will make “3″ versions of their other sets, so if you need one with a CableCard tuner or something, I’d wait a while. Also I wish this set had more stretch options for dealing with 4:3 inputs. The only options for HD signals are 16:9 or 4:3 with bars, neither of which helps deal with HD signals that are letterboxed AND 4:3 (common for cable boxes that up-convert letterbox SDTV material). I’m not sure which sets do have these stretch modes, but I beleive some do.

Also, 42 inch plasma tv are moving very fast right now, with Pioneer due to release new models any day, among others. Waiting a bit longer if you’re in no hurry may turn up a set even better than this at the same price. But as of Spring 2006, I am very confident this is the best 42 hdtv in the ~$2k range.

I should never have bought it.5

Take your home entertainment experience to the next level with the plasma tv samsung PN50A450 plasma HDTV. The Samsung 50 plasma tv with 720p resolution is big enough to transform any space into the ultimate home theater. Because now, I’m going to be spending WAY too much time watching television. I bought this plasma televisions sight-unseen. The price was the biggest factor coupled with some favorable reviews on CNET for other Samsung 50 plasma. I am no “videophile” so I can live with 720p resolution. Compared to my 10 year old, 27″ Toshiba it’s like seeing a hdtv plasma for the first time. I have Verizon FiOS digital cable, which has quite a few high definition channels, so I flipped over to their high-def demo channel and I watched programs for hours that “BS” (Before Samsung) would probably have bored me to tears. I have a 480p DVD player that I can now watch in 480p, instead of 480i. I dropped in the movie “300″ and it looked just as good as it did on the IMAX screen (IMO). I bought a component video cable for my Wii (don’t forget to change the video setting to 480p) and was simply amazed at the clarity. It’s not the most expensive, and some “experts” will not consider it to be the best plasma out there but I’m giving myself a big pat on the back. The piano black finish is like icing on the cake. I would, and will, recommend this hdtv plasmabig screen tv to anyone.
