5.0 out of 5 stars VERY PLEASED!!,

I got this HDTV Mitsubishi on feb 13 2009 and i have to tell you that i was shocked at how great the picture in high def and blu ray are, sharp, crisp , bright and outstanding color , standard def is not bad either, but this tv really shines with high def sources, the viewing angles from the sides are not at all bad sense this Misubishi 65 is the NEW style of LCD PROJECTION TV, this is a whole new game.
My aunt and uncle came over and there words were OMG, they were amazed at the size and picture quality of the tv, they said it was like being at a movie theater, the built in speakers have a simmulated surround sound function and are ok but with any tv this size or even a little smaller you would want to have a good surround sound system to compliment the huge screen size and beautiful picture, the stand that comes with it is very nice and supports the tv very well and in fact was made for the tv, there is plenty of room on the tv stand for ur cable or sat box, blu ray player and more, i have a blu ray player, digital cable box, center channel speaker and a surround sound reciever on the stand and everythng looks great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharp Aquos LCD HDTV is a good buy,
I read many reviews some positive and some negative, I went with the positive ones and my own experiences with other Sharp 720p LCD products. I have had a Sharp Aquos LD37D44U 37-Inch LCD HDTV for about a month and must say that I am very pleased with it so far.

The picture quality is very good and it has every connection that you may want on the back. I am using the HDMI connection from a HDTV Verizon FIOS Box. I have no problems with any lines or dead pixels as some have written about. If you are looking to buy a solid TV and not over pay for a name, then consider buying one of the Sharp Aquos LCD TVs.

    4HD TV by Sharp
Liked the price and the no sales tax, no shipping charges and very happy with the product. It does hesitate before bringing up the HD picture and I don’t know if that’s due to the TV or Comcast. Delivery and set-up was excellent. Would buy again from Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharp 37-inch LCD HDTV,

I believe this 37 LCD Sharp to be excellent in every way and is a great value for its price. My initial purchase about six months ago was for myself. We have enjoyed it so much, I purchased a second on behalf of my bother in law. They also agree with my opinion. Again, an excellent product.

4 Good value on 32 inch LCD,
The Toshiba 32AV502U projection lcd seems to be a good value for a 720p LCD. It was easy to set up on the stand; the hook-up to my cable, TIVO unit, and playstation was easy; the initial set up for all the available channels was pretty easy and fast; and the picture is great. The only negatives are that the remote control & remote control buttons are too small, the ability of the set to switch between various functions seems a little slow (in other words moving from one menu screen to the next), and the process of switching back and forth between inputs is especially slow and tedious. Maybe as I learn more about the lcd television 32 functions I can figure out a faster way to accomplish this but I haven’t found anything in the manual yet or by playing with the various buttons.

4 Good buy for the price,

I bought this toshiba lcd 32 a month ago for the bedroom and am very pleased with the picture. I find the picture as good or better than the picture on my Sony Bravia which was much more expensive. The speaker quality is average (hence the 4 stars), but since I have mine hooked up with a surround system, it is a non issue for me. If you plan to use the TV speakers and like to crank the sound up, you might be a little dissappointed as they are a bit tinny and don’t have much power. The speakers are good for everyday users.
As far as overall product quality, I know that Sony is SUPPOSED to be the better brand, BUT I have had three other Toshiba products over the last 16 years, 2 TVs, and my laptop and they are all working great. Never had an issue. I have had three Sony products, a camcorder, the surround in my living room, and the Bravia over the last 7 years and I have had every single product break down on me to some degree or another. Sony always comes at a premium price so it is my experience that Toshiba is undervalued.
I will stick with Toshiba from now on.

5 Great display for bedroom applications!,

Normally I wait a few months before giving any sort of review on high ticket items such as this XBR TV simply to give time for issues, if any, to surface.(See my review of the KDL-52XBR4). But in this instance I already know I have a great piece of hardware and feel no reservations about writing so early on.

I have had this HDTV XBR for about three weeks now and I love it. I bought the LCD HDTV 32 inch simply becuase it harbors most of the same things my larger KLD-52XBR4 model does. Namely, native 1980×1080p resolution, Bravia 2 engine, a myriad of controls for in depth picture calibration, numerous HDMI unputs, etc.

Initial setup is a snap, as the television hdtv asks simple questions with regards to language and region, what type of signals it can expect to receive, and what other components, if any, should it expect to be connected to. Once set up the tv works like any other. SD programming looks pretty good since it’s a smaller panel, and HD programming shines given its native 1080p resolution. Since I purchased this for the bedroom I only have a Sony upscaling DVD player conected to it, but I am utilizing the Bravia Sync feature and I love it. All I have to do is hit a button on my remote, select the device I want to use, and everything I need for that device turns on. This translates into not having to get out of bed. The speakers are great for a set this size regardless of the output setting you choose.

As far as cons, I don’t really have any to list. After reading some of the other reviews I can’t verify the ’smelly’ review, as this tv doesn’t run hot for me at all. I have it mounted on my bedroom wall, so it’s possible that the placement of the tv with regards to surrounding items/cabinets/armoirs might make a difference. Also, please note that contrary to what the features checklist (above) states, this television does in fact have Sony’s XROSS Media Bar (3D on-screen feature navigation). I don’t know why it states otherwise, but it leads me to think that maybe the checklist was released prior to Sony’s new line of smaller tv’s for 2008.

All in all, this HDTV XBR is great and works perfectly as a bedroom set. It saves tons of space when mounted to the wall and has plenty of connection options for any device you might want to plug in. The remote is nice, although I wish it had a backlight feature like the one for my XBR52 does, which makes for easy navigation in low-light situations.

I agree that while this television is priced higher than other telvisions in its size class, it is completely worth it for all the options it comes with. Some might argue that 720p for a panel this size is fine, but once you have 1080p it’s hard to go back, and this is the only television currently offering a native 1080p resolution for its size. Recommended!

    Amazing Plasma TV5

I looked for around 6 months for a new HDTV to replace a Sony XBR1 40″ I’ve had for several years. After spending way to much time reading CNETs reviews, I settled upon this pioneer 50 plasma pdp.

The performance is excellent. It certainly has better image quality than my Sony LCD, both when watching movies (due to the excellent contrast), and when watching fast moving basketball, in which my sony LCD would occasionally have motion artifacts. I think much of the LCD motion artifact thing has gone away with high end LCDs these days.

If you are a video nut that wants to change every aspect of the settings, you need to get the elite model, which is basically the same TV, but with all the settings opened up. You only get basic settings with this model. However, it has a mode that I personally like called “Optimum”, where the TVs sensors detect what type of picture is being displayed along with the ambient room conditions and adjust accordingly. So far I’ve left it on that and it has been great. I have also played with “Movie” mode, in which you get about 50% of the controls on the picture that a typical high end TV might have.

Aesthetically, this pdp pioneer looks perfect. The plain back bezel that is very small for this size of TV is exactly what I was looking for. Some of the Sony’s for the past 4 years and most of the LGs and Samsungs have just got too much going on. I want a perfect picture and a minimal “TV”. In addition, this pdp 50 is very thin for a 50″ plasma, it is only 3.7″ thick. My 40″ LCD was 5.5″ and the new sony XBR8 LED backlit LCD is almost 6″ I believe.

In a store I compared this TV to the Samsung A950 series (LED backlit LCD) and the Sony XBR6, both 46″ models. The Pioneer was cheaper and just looked better hands down. I went back on 3 occasions to confirm this was the case.

The big question many of you are probably asking is should I order from amazon and save almost $1000 over best buy or other big box store? My first HDTV I purchased from a locally owned specialty retailer. It gave me the confidence I needed since I knew little about HDTVs at that time. They offered a 15 day no questions asked return policy. For this pioneer 50 plasma purchase, I went with amazon.com and saved $1000. Shipping was free. Amazon will contract this to CEVA, who will contract the delivery to your home by another local delivery agent. My TV arrived within 3 business days. It went from Ohio to Chicago in the first day I ordered it, and then was in Milwaukee to be delivered the next day and an appointment was set up. However, when the delivery guys showed up, I asked them to remove it from the packaging so I could plug it in and make sure it worked before I accepted delivery. The bezel was cracked and the screen damaged before we even got it out of the box. So I easily refused shipment and the delivery guys took it back. I contacted amazon and once you get beyond the india help desk and to a real agent who specializes in electronics returns I was all set. A new unit was sent 3 days later (with a total of about 1 week delay) for no charge. I think in the future I would order online from amazon.com again for the cost savings they provide. Although it was a hassle to be at home twice to have the TV delivered twice it was worth the savings for me. I believe you can also return to amazon within 30 days as well if you change your mind, but shipping cost is yours to pay.

    Customer Television Projection Reviews

The SAMSUNG LN40A550 40 inch lcd hdtv delivers the sharpest. This television is truly something to be admired. I’d say it’s also a work of art.

I have a high definition cable box with an HDMI cable to the TV and the HD channels are superb. I mean, the picture is totally 100% crystal clear. I have windows behind me and somehow there is virtually no glare. Yes, the TV looks better when it is dark outside versus light outside but it’s perfectly great when it is light outside.

I’m writing this review on my couch. My laptop is connected to the TV via a VGA cable with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately my laptop does not have HDMI but I can see very well with the VGA cable. Needless to say, I am going to become much more lazy as a result of this projection lcd.

The 40 inches is great for my viewing pleasure. I’m sure 46 is bigger but I am 100% content with 40 inches. It comes down to price. I did not want to pay more than $1,200 for a TV (that’s $100 a month for 12 months using the Amazon Store Card). So this was a no-brainer for me.

If you are in the market for a 40 lcd hdtv, I highly suggest this one. It is truly a wonderful TV. The “only” thing that isn’t 100% perfect is the sound. The sound is good mind you, but it is not as perfect as the picture. But for the record, I have not played with the equalizer which people report helps the sound.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value - Nice looking televisions hdtv!

We purchased this projection lcd and Amazon’s shippers CEVA set it up on April 10, 2009. The shipping company was 2 hours late but that’s for another review!

This tv looks really nice! I recalibrated the settings according to AVS Forum so I could compare, but I have to say the factory settings are very nice too. They are just a little bright. The tv hooked up in seconds. We do not have HD in the house yet and the standard coaxial cable still looks very nice. DVDs look outstanding.

Previous reviews state the sound it bad, and it is…really bad. It is hollow sounding. I hooked up to the surround system so no worries. I think we got a great deal for less than $800! I look forward to using this tv for many years!

GREAT BIG SCREEN HD LCD TV5

When I purchased this 1080p hd from Amazon.com I had already decided on this 52 inch samsung series and was trying to decide between the 650 and the 750. At the time there was a small price difference between the two on Amazon.com. I ended up choosing the 650 because I was placing the TV inside a nook that had limited space.

The television 1080p has a less bulky frame around the LCD screen and therefore it was only 50.2 inches wide as compared to the 750 which is 52″ wide. Both screens have the exact same visual display area. Beyond trying to accommodate my limited space, I felt that the smaller frame looked nicer on the TV than the larger frame.

The other reason I chose the 650 is that it can swivel on the base, whereas the 750 is fixed on its base. Because I have placed the TV in a nook, this swivel feature has come in very handy as I have had to get behind it from time to time to plug in cords, etc.

I have read a lot about screen reflection and was bracing myself for a potentially unpleasant experience during daytime viewing, especially since the room the samsung 52 hdtv is in has windows all the way across two walls and is full of sunlight daily. I’m happy to report that screen reflection is absolutely no problem. The samsung 52 that I was replacing with the Samsung LCD was an older 32″ Panasonic Panablack analog TV with the glass screen, which had a lot of reflection. As a point of reference, the Samsung has about 20% of the screen reflection of my old TV (judging from when the TV is off). When the TV is on, the Samsung has about 5% of screen reflection compared with what I used to have with my old TV, which may be due to the incredible brightness of the display.
