I have 6 LCD projection TV from different manufacturers and all of them allow for bass and treble control,since this system is designed to operate through your LCD projection TV, make your tone adustments that way,of course if you connect it directly to a dvd or Blu-Ray player,which you can do,you don’t have that control but again the system was designed to work through your projection tv screen.
“What no digital inputs?” OK to have that option would be nice,but then again if you had that option and connected it using the digital output from the LCD projection TV you would then lose your tone controls and at this price point,with a system like this, I doubt that you lose all that much going with an analog connection. Not enough inputs? Again,all you need is one,everything else is connected to your projection tv screen.
Are you going to hear helicopters behind you? No you are not,and while it might be possible to achieve that effect under ideal circumstances,more than likely it ain’t happenin’. However, at times,at least in my room,the soundstage can be very expansive,almost like you had speakers at the sides of you,not bad,not 5.1,but still let’s try to remember what we have here, a 2.1 system.
The LCD projection TV was listed as a Refurb on the website,but you couldn’t tell from it’s condition. Even the packing gives no clue to it being a refurbished projection tv screen. Now for that money I got two cute sattelites, a subwoofer, an amplifier, a universal remote plus all my cables. Although I did swap out an old pair of Straightwire RCA cables instead of using the ones in the box.
