A great choice for the kitchen or adding to your child’s room with its removable base, the 15-inch Audiovox FPE1506DV LCD TV is also multi-tasker with integrated, slot-loading DVD player, multi-format memory card reader, and the ability to be used in a vehicle (powered by the included cigarette lighter adapter). In addition to playing standard DVD movie and CD audio discs, it’s also compatible with playing DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW discs as well as MP3 audio files and JPEG pictures. It also includes a three-way flash memory port that’s compatible with Secure Digital, MMC, and Memory Stick media as well as a USB port for connecting a compatible digital audio player.
The FPE1506DV has a 4:3 standard definition aspect ratio and a 1024 x 768-pixel resolution. It also offers aspect ratio controls that enable you to watch widescreen, high-definition programming (1080i/720p/480p/480i) when connected to an optional receiver or cable/satellite set-top box via the component video inputs. You can also use this set as a PC monitor via the VGA connection. Other features include built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner, removable tilt stand, closed captioning, V-chip parental controls, and SRS surround sound. It provides the following connections:

Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections.
