Forget LCD, this DLP HDTV is way more bang for the buck!5
The Samsung Television hdtv also has a huge 61″ screen that surprisingly doesn’t take up much room. When I got serious about buying an HD tv, I of course started looking at LCD and how much I could afford. There are so many variables in LCD selection and I became thoroughly confused and then you throw in the Plasma option and things got even more confusing. I had taken a trip to a friends house and he had a Sony dlp projection and that started me looking at DLP. First of all, there aren’t all the confusing numbers to look for. No 120Hz concerns, no refresh rates to compare and best of all, I can get way bigger for a lot less money. I was sold on DLP. Well only 2 companies offer projection these days and the Samsung DLP HDTV in the winner hands down, due to the fact that the 750 series doesn’t have bulbs that burn out. They use new technology LED lights and mirrors that will last the lifetime of the LED DLP (60000 hrs+).
Go to a big name store such as Circuit city or Frey’s and compare. The price for a 52″ good quality Lcd will run anywhere from $2200-$3500 or more. Then look at the 61″ Samsung for well under $2000 (I bought mine through WarehouseDeals.com for under $1300). The only disadvantage to DLP is that you can’t hang it on the wall, but these tv’s are only 14″ deep and regardless of what the sales people tell you, you don’t have to be directly in front of them to see the picture. they have a come a long way. Make sure if you purchase one of these, that you update to HD converter box and purchase an HDMI cable to connect the two. The HDMI cable made all the difference in the world for picture quality. I LOVE my DLP Samsung TV and you will too!

    Television Projection -Customer Reviews

    SAMSUNG HAS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE4
I bought this samsung DLP tv refurbished from secondact.com for 799 plus shipping. First impressions were that the picture through my xbox was beautiful (switched from crappy old 36 in sdtv). I can actually read the words on my games now :)

The second day I realized that I had the problem that a lot of people had. The screen was bowed or pincussioned… not sure which one. If there’s a perfect horizontal line on the screen, when it gets to either the left or right edge it goes up, creating a kind of smile shaped effect. I was immediately beside myself as I had just spent quite a bit of money on this Television Projection.

The tv has a 90 day warranty from samsung so I began by calling their customer support. I called and got through to an easy to understand American representative very quickly and explained my problem. Even though it’s refurbished all i had to do was fax in my receipt and tomorrow I will be calling to set up an appointment for a technician to come directly to my house to fix this problem. I will update this after the tech comes to see what happens but the customer support from samsung was amazing and I love that i don’t have to ship out my  Television Projection somewhere and not get it back for a month as other manufacturers might.

If that gets fixed perfectly the only thing wrong with this tv is the audio. If turned up to normal to high-normal listening range it has a definite buzz, which the technician may also fix when he gets here. This isn’t a huge deal to me because for the price i payed i wasn’t looking for great audio without getting outside speakers anyways.

If on a budget this is a great tv to get as i see it!
    GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

More color, for a more colorful image. Mitsubishi is taking Color to a new level with x.v.Color support and its exclusive 6-Color Light Engine. x.v.Color is the new standard for HDTV and it enables 80% more color than standard HDTV! Mitsubishi’s 6-Color Light Engine processes and produces images with six different colors instead of the traditional three to display a wider range of colors, brighter colors and whiter whites. Additional color features such as Color 4D Noise Reduction and PerfectColor allow for additional advanced color processing and adjustment. Great Television Projection5
I bought this Television Projection about a month ago and love it. I have been watching the NBA Playoffs on it and it looks great even in 1080i (comcast doesn’t project in higher HD). I have my Xbox hooked up with an HDMI cable and it gives me full 1080P quality. It looks fantastic even in an extremely bright room. I reccommend this product especially for the price. Buying a 57in 1080P HDTV for just over $1K is a steal.

    Very solid item/Best bargin HDTV5

I bought the Television Projection about 7 months ago as I was moving into a dorm for college and I needed a new big screen tv. While it is way bigger than I need for a dorm room I figued why not spend the extra money for a bigger TV then spend 150-300 on a little 20inch when I’d be buying a larger Television Projection later when I live in an apartment. At the time this was around $875 and was the best deal out there.

I was wary at first as there are many complants with these kind of systems. However, I have never had a problem with unit. I think it has been more than I expected. While it is a 720 and not 1080 I don’t think there is much difference. While I am in a dorm I don’t have a normal array of HD channels, but I do get your basic CBS/NBC channels in HD and they look completely crystal clear. I can’t make a noticable difference from the 720 to 1080. The only time you can really tell the difference is if your in a store and a 720 is next to a 1080. Since it is a rear projection it is lamp lit and other complained of the lamp light flowing out from the vents in the back. I don’t really notice this, even in with all the lights off. If you have it directing against a wall then you can see it, but it’s not enough to be bothersome and if you wish can be easily blocked. Only con is the warm up and warm down as it is a bulb light, but it only takes a few seconds. I wouldn’t turn it off and on rapidly or leave it on constantly as the bulb will burn out faster.
