Suits my needs perfectly - great image for the money,5

Take advantage of 720p HD picture quality and an impressive feature set with the 32AV502U. This tv 32 lcd is a great addition for any home theater, and can also be used as a computer monitor by using the PC Input.I have had this lcd hdtv for about three weeks now, and so far I am very pleased with it. The picture, which I receive from an indoor/outdoor antenna is extremely crisp. I would recommend those of you out there pondering whether or not to get cable/satellite to consider simply installing a good antenna - that way there is no video compression, and you actually get a sharper image from the local networks. I honestly cannot tell the difference between my TV’s image as a 720p and my brother-law’s 47″ 1080p Sony.

The 32 inch lcd tv menu is easy to see and use. I keep my video settings on sports generally, as it is the brightest picture (some of the others, like “movie” are just too dark for me). However, you can also adjust the picture in preference mode, and play around with brightness, sharpness, contrast, backlight, color, and tint.

I also own a wii system, and even though it is not high definition like some other gaming systems, I have to say that the picture on this 32 lcd hdtv is excellent (especially with the wii component cables attached).

The sound on the toshiba lcd tv is also very full - I did not notice any tinniness coming from the speakers at all, and it seemed well balanced between base and treble. It will obviously not produce the same depth of sound as a full sound system, but it suits my needs perfectly.

There is, as the other reviewer indicated a minor lag time when switching between inputs, but this really doesn’t bother me. One mildly annoying element however is that most of the inputs (HDMI, component cables (AKA color stream), PC inputs, S-Video, etc.) are on the back of the TV, which is a mild nuisance. The only exception to this is Video 2, which is on the side. (This would probably be good for connecting a digital camcorder and the like).

The only other thing that seems a little inconsistent is PC connectivity. When I hook up my laptop (I use an RGB computer video cable and audio cable since my computer doesn’t have a built in HDMI port) it is necessary for me to turn the laptop off, connect the cables and then reboot, or the image will not display on the televisions hdtv. Perhaps this is a standard thing for most TVs - I don’t really know, having never owned an HDTV with PC inputs before. Also, the TV seems to project the computer screen a little differently each time the computer is hooked up, and I sometimed have to do a little tweaking to get an image I’m happy with. This may just require more trial-and-error on my part. Since my primary purpose is to use the TV as a TV screen and DVD player and not a computer screen, this isn’t a big deal to me.

    Good TV,5

This is a good lcd televisions. I previously had an Olevia (Syntax) 27″ LCD HDTV, and I have to say that this TV LCD LG is a significant improvement. I recommend this TV!

The Good Features tv projection lcd . The speakers are good (no hiss or low quality digital sound). The speakers are hidden below the TV. So it’s good for confined spaces. They’re not as good as a $500 surround sound system with a sub-woofer, but you get what you pay for.

It has an option to turn off the TV power LED when it is not on, which is helpful if you sleep in the room with the TV. The LED also flashes when it receives a command from the remote control, which is good feedback when you don’t notice something is blocking the remote control signal to the TV, like the edge of a TV stand. When the TV is off, the red LED looks like HAL 9000 from the movie 2001, which I got a kick out of.

I like the swivel stand on the TV, which is good for easier cable setup. It’s Energy Star compliant. It has a great user interface for adding and removing TV channels after you have automatically scanned all the channels (tabbed panels with a preview pane). It can handle HDTV (ATSC) and analog TV (NTSC) signals.

The picture quality is much better than my previous LCD TV. I have no complaints when it’s viewed from a typical viewing angle. The Bad Features. Even though it has great side to side viewing angle, it has a slightly worse than average viewing angle from the bottom. So when mounting this TV up high, you should consider wall mounting it with a downward tilt. Viewing from 45 degrees from below washes out the colors, but this viewing angle isn’t typical for most people.

The reflection from the border on the TV can be distracting in a room with a lot of lights when displaying a show with very low light levels (e.g. a horror movie typically has very low light levels). The border also shows dust a little more easily than a matte finish. It’s a nice and shiny TV though.

5 I guess third time was the charm,

Panasonic TC-32LX85 is an LCD widescreen TV that is HDTV capable and is the best value for size and price. I’ve been through 3 t.v.’s so far. The first LCD HDTV I bought was my first HDTV ever but the picture was just not that good. I felt like it wasn’t a good upgrade from SDTV. The second t.v. I bought had a really good HD picture and an acceptable SD picture, but no matter what I watched the picture was always dark for some reason even if I increased the brightness or contrast. That 32 Inch LCD HDTV also lacked the inputs I needed for different things like my cable box, game systems, etc.
After deciding to give it one more shot, I stumbled upon this LCD Projection Tv with it’s great specs and many inputs. I have to say that this t.v. has excelled my expectations. From Standard definition channels to High definition channels, this t.v. is a winner. It is so bright even during the daytime (funny how others mentioned this too lol) and it has those inputs that I wanted. So far I’ve played my Xbox 360 on this t.v. and the picture cannot be beaten. The picture is so crisp and clear that it puts those other t.v.’s I had to shame. Oh and about the picture being dark, it can’t be. I only have the settings on the “Game Mode” that this t.v. has and I can see every detail there is in the games. I haven’t even brought up the brightness or contrast yet and there is no need for it! There is even an option in the menu to make dark scenes even more clear!

The sound on this Panasonic 32 Inch LCD HDTV is also good. I thought I had my surround sound speakers on when using the t.v. but I actually was using the t.v. speakers and yes they were that loud at a low volume setting. So here is how I sum it up:

    VIDEO: 10 out of 10
I have not yet been disappointed with the SD or HD picture of this t.v. Whites are white, blacks are black.

    AUDIO: 10 out of 10
If something ever happened to my surround sound speakers, I wouldn’t care because it will be like they never broke.

    INPUTS: 9 out of 10
It’s nice that they’re 3 HDMI inputs but I wish there was a second component input. But since everything is going HDMI these days, this is not a problem.

    PRICE: 10 out of 10
I’ve seen this t.v. going for up to $899 but I bought it for $699. What a steal at this price.

    OVERALL: 10 out of 10
Finally I have found the t.v. that I have been looking for all this time. I had to wait until 2008 to get it, but it was definitely worth the wait. If you have been waiting to get an HDTV, then now is the time to get it. You won’t be disappointed.

    “B+” sharp 32 lcd4
I also have a Sharp 20 inch LCD HDTV (non-Aquos) which I have enjoyed for 6 months. I would give it an A-. The 20 inch was purchased to replace a 20 inch Sony Trinitron (analog tube TV). I really needed a bigger lcd projection since I typically sit about 8-9 feet away from the sharp aquos review. This new 32 lcd hdtv is just right. However, it seems to be MUCH darker than the 20 inch sharp lcd hdtv. I had to adjust the settings to get the aquos hdtv where I wanted it. Now I feel the picture is just shy of a Samsung or Sony, but the Sharp price combined with the internal HDTV and QAM tuner pushed me to the Sharp. It is easy to use and the stand is quite strong (no wobbling). Overall I am very happy with my sharp aquos lcd hdtv.
