Great Television Projection
I bought this Television Projection about a month ago and love it. I have been watching the NBA Playoffs on it and it looks great even in 1080i (comcast doesn’t project in higher HD). I have my Xbox hooked up with an HDMI cable and it gives me full 1080P quality. It looks fantastic even in an extremely bright room. I reccommend this product especially for the price. Buying a 57in 1080P HDTV for just over $1K is a steal.

An excellent Television Projection at a great price
We’ve been really trying to buy a large-screen TV for 3-4-years but anything that had a good picture was hideously expensive and anything that was affordable had a serious drawback. We finally got one, and it’s the Mitsubishi WD65734, a DLP, thin-frame, 65-inch, 1080p TV. We looked at TV pictures over and over and over again in stores, read user reviews, and this one looked great but some people complained of the projection bulb burning out frequently (they are supposed to last about 5,000-hours) and a noisy fan. We’ve only had ours a short time so can’t comment on bulb life yet, but most user ratings did not report a problem and hey, that’s what the service contract is for. The fan is not noisy, one can hear it with the set off during cool-down but otherwise not an issue. The picture is lush, detailed, crisp, and bright. No DLP “rainbow”. Off-angle viewing, while not as good as a plasma, is good side-to-side, and more limited but still good up-and-down. The user manual is amazingly clear and easy to use. We view broadcast TV using an attic antenna, analog stations are grainy but digital ones are great. We also have a Blu-Ray DVD player and Blu-Ray disks let this Television Projection show its stuff, actually better than a real movie theater.

Solid TV, great price, could use more HDMI inputs
I love this TV. HD is sharp and vivid. The colors are amazing. Its very light weight despite the size. I was so surprised that I could pick this up by myself. I have 2 minor complaints
* it could use a few more HDMI inputs
* included universal remote doesn’t have code scan so if its not in the code book your stuck. (I purchased Logitech Harmony remote)
These are minor complaints though. This is an amazing TV.
The way TV is SUPPOSED to look.
Checked out too many systems to count. Settled on DLP because it made sense. Unit arrived 1 week early (Electronics Expo is great.) Unpacked it, plugged it in, connected the cable, & it has been flawless. People are actually STUNNED when they see the screen. Worth alot more than the $1400 I paid. If you’re looking for a 57″ system, don’t even bother checking the others out.
Mitsubishi 57″ DLP
Excellent bright HD picture. I chose a DLP because it was to be installed in and entertainment center so depth was of no concern. Also, a larger DLP unit can fit into same space as a smaller LCD since there is less framework around the screen. I was able to fit a 57″ DLP into the space where a 52″ LCD would fit.
